LIFE AS WE KNOW IT

This photo was posted by my friend on his face book.It left me thinking about this gift we call life. It is so precious, and we take all the measures to preserve it...just to see another day! Despite the struggles many of us face: the hunger and famine that rip off our muscles and liken us to the R.I.P six feet under, the earthquakes and the tides, the fatal road accidents that leave many maimed if not dead: the many tragedies such as war and many more.

Some are acts of God and those that are not some argue they happen only if He so allows. Life is indeed precious, water can preserve it or even take it away, Food preserve it and lack of it take it away, Electricity can cook a man's dinner and can also cook the man.

Think about  this; God created man., but man created money right? Before I entered an Economics class and be taught how so much money in supply can bring about inflation, I used to wonder....the money we use is always at our disposal. It even bears the face of our presidents. The very money is used to pay them that mint it. Then why not avail it to all so that they can be able to buy life's necessities? Is better for people to die since they have no money to buy food.....papers we easily print and give them value for exchange?

But my wonders were confirmed not by the lesson in economics, but my life as a teacher itself. For the believers, allow me to say that sometimes God allows the inequalities of life to bring balance to the universe he created. If  the middle finger equaled your thump,  you would hardly make a perfect fist! Ours is to identify our roles in the universe, the essence of our existence and the purpose of our creation. However lowly, disadvantaged, unfortunate or challenged we may feel or made to believe....just know, you were created unique, to accomplish that unique purpose...to our leaders, you and I, it is our role to make life here on earth bearable for all. Even if you amass half or whole of the world, the same fate awaits us all.....Fat or healthy, our bodies will be ripped beyond such. At-least then  it will be bearable since they will be lifeless......so fellows, lets preserve life in such brothers and sisters and give them dignity of humanity. It starts by loving them as much as we love ourselves or families; Caring indeed means sharing.
